Feast your greedy eyes on these reports on the big game houses showing at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
Microsoft: At Tokyo Game Show Thursday morning, Microsoft and Bungie pulled back the veil on a new Halo 3 entry. (This is one of those stories we won't get enough about until our eyes and ears are bleeding from the onslaught. You know you want it.) Konami: After last year’s Metal Gear Solid 4 crescendo (even if Konami did peak a little early with that), Konami’s showing at TGS 2008 is perhaps expectedly a little on the anaemic side. Sega: On the evidence of its TGS showing, Sega is beginning to see rewards for maintaining close ties with the new houses of some of Japan’s premier game designers. Sony: Sony is putting in a comprehensive, broad-ranging performance at its Tokyo Game Show booth, with PS3, PSP and PSN represented in significance-appropriate degrees – but at the cost of any PS2 software presence, the format apparently having been consigned to history as far as first-party support is concerned. Namco Bandai: Namco Bandai’s TGS booth is a lesson in the art of versatility, with the Shinagawa-based conglomerate choosing to display titles in an eclectic mix of genres – and across all formats, to boot.
