IBM and Linden Lab make history!

IBM and Linden Lab have announced that research teams from the two companies successfully teleported avatars from the Second Life Preview Grid into a virtual world running on an OpenSim server, marking the first time an avatar has moved from one virtual world to another.

      They are not the same type of world. It's like being in Counter-Strike and walking through a door, suddenly you are in UT3, without changing games or disconnecting from the servers. It just hands your connection to the other server.

      Very interesting stuff.

      hahaaha yeah... I would just like to be able to walk from the SL grid to a Napalm grid seamlessly.
