Officials make another "GTA4-to-real world violence" connection

In wake of the non-existent rape scene announcement from a Connecticut Senator, New York officials linked a recent teen crime spree to Grand Theft Auto 4. They based this connection off of an arrested suspect who said the only reason they went on a crime spree was because they "got drunk and thought it would be fun to play out GTA4"
http://www.gamepolitics.c…nnection-teen-crime-spree First of all, I am furious with that suspect. He just used GTA4 as a cop-out and now Jack Thompson, my mortal enemy, has more ammo for arguments when talking about games. Also, notice how no one goes after the fact that these kids have been DRINKING. Seriously, it's like they don't even care and place all blame solely on video games. It never ends! Here is the report on the crime spree: http://www.gamepolitics.c…tements-made-one-suspects |

This blame shuffling is happening far too often, when people don't have the courage to admit THEY were wrong. Eugh. Idiots.
Keep your eyes peeled for the average gamers.
Nothing's broken, it's just functioning differently.

To say that I go & steal a car because of the game, well, I stole a car. It don't matter why I said I did it, I stole a car, it's a crime. It's a crime in the game & cops go after you for that.
I can also hit people with a car in game, don't mean thats a good idea or a cop-out to what I did.
That guy needs help.
For the HORDE!
