Nintendo has apologised for the WiiFit calling people fat.
Apparently people have taken offense to their 'game' calling them fat, after it's calculated their BMI (body mass index). The Daily Mail has published a news story about it, which is no surprise, and found here. Anyone with half an ounce of sense knows the BMI is going to be wrong in any number of cases, and it even explains the BMI system in the manual. How people are taking this the wrong way, I don't know. It looks like a 'waahmbulance' moment, to me. What're your thoughts? |

Worrying is about as effective as chewing gum to solve algebra
It's really quite bad when a piece of code with no personal agenda (Unless Nintendo have started buying gyms?) calls you fat. Most definitely a reason to hit the gym.
Keep your eyes peeled for the average gamers.
Nothing's broken, it's just functioning differently.
