Activision Publishing, Inc. announced today that HISTORY Civil War: Secret Missions will be released later this year for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 and PlayStation®2 computer entertainment systems, and PC. A completely new episode in the HISTORY Civil War franchise, the game will allow players to assume the role of Union and Confederate soldiers fighting behind enemy lines in legendary battles.

Konami has decided to take a different approach to a Castlevania game for the Wii. Instead of the usual side-scrolling and item-collecting castle adventure like the previous games, Konami has put up screenshots of a one-on-one fighter similar to that of Soul Caliber. They still use the heart-driven subweapon system and the range of characters seem to span multiple games from the franchise.

Arcade boxing game will arrive on Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii under the new EA Sports Freestyle label this fall, the company said on Tuesday.
