According to GamersDailyNews.com, Ubisoft announced recently that they would be creating a CSI:NY game and that the leading actors from the show will be offering their voices to it.
Golden Globe winner Gary Sinise, Melina Kanakaredes, Carmine Giovinazzo, Eddie Cahill, Hill Harper, Anna Belknap, Robert Joy and A.J. Four studios are in a high-stakes bidding battle for rights to a new videogame from Electronic Arts that hasn’t even been publicly announced yet. I've written about how Ubisoft wanted to start putting out more games geared toward girls, so when I read this, I had to comment on it as well.

Bungie, the developer behind the best-selling Xbox 360 franchise Halo, has revealed that it is currently hard at work on new IP alongside Halo 3: Recon, and that it is not limited by any agreement with Microsoft in terms of being restricted to particular platforms.

In a few short weeks, LucasArts and BioWare will finally reveal the secret joint project they've been working on and teasing people about since at least October 2007.

New global online game publisher True Games Interactive ( www.truegamesinteractive.com) announced today that it has signed an exclusive deal with GOA, Orange's Games Unit. GOA will exclusively publish, distribute and operate True Games' upcoming online title from Petroglyph Studios. Hellgate: London developer Flagship Studios has announced that it has shut down its servers for MMORPG Mythos, which was undergoing private beta testing. The company did not disclose any details on when this "hiatus" might end.
Mythos' closing comes only two weeks after reports that Flagship had cut a significant portion of its development team. The studio had also reportedly laid off its staff at online services subsidiary and Mythos publisher Ping0. A Korean news report translated . . . Read more
IBM and Linden Lab have announced that research teams from the two companies successfully teleported avatars from the Second Life Preview Grid into a virtual world running on an OpenSim server, marking the first time an avatar has moved from one virtual world to another.

According to TripleRedX, Glu Mobile has announced that it has struck a deal with Activision to extend the companies' worldwide partnership to include a Call of Duty: World at War mobile edition. Glu will develop and publish this version, which will be released on major wireless services worldwide.

According to USAToday.com, indie game developers are starting to be looked to by various consoles for newer games. Young developers such as James Silva, who has been drawing sketches of new levels for games since he was in the second grade, are becoming one-man teams (okay, well...some teams exist) for consoles such as the Xbox 360.
