Valve resists the bandwagon.

Valve did a big thing at E3 and showed the move to put Portal 2 on the PlayStation 3. it is already confirmed that motion controls will not be supported, but in a recent article Doug Lombardi, Valve's marketing head, admitted that portal 2 will not be in 3D.

EverQuest II: Extended for free.

Sony Online Entertainment has a new subscription option, free. EverQuest II: Extended offers in depth game play while still being a free to play game. currently it is in alpha testing which is available to all current players and open beta will start around the 17th of August, 2010.

DC Universe Online voice acters announced

A list of names has been put together for the heroes and villains of DC Universe Online. Mark Hamill, who played as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, will be the voice of The Joker. Superman will be voiced by Adam Baldwin; James Marsters will be the voice of Lex Luthor. Gina Torres will be lending her vocal chords to Wonder Woman and Circe will be using Michelle Forbes voice.

Valve announces new game.

Valve has announced a new game called Alien Swarm. The game is a co-op shooter based on an old 2004 Unreal Tournament mod.
The game should be ready next week. The best part is, the game is free. Matchmaking, Steam Cloud, statistics tracking, and 64 Steam achievements will all come with it.

Dragon Age II details released

Set for release in March of 2011 Dragon Age II will be playable on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows. Bioware promises that story is still one of their main focuses but is also working creating a "more dynamic combat system." Vanguard servers prepare for merge.

New LucasArts president named.

The people over at LucasArts have named a new president. Paul Meegan, who is replacing Darrell Rodriguez, has been given the position and will start mid-June.
Meegan has a large amount of past experiance. Before this he was the CEO at Epic Games China, held senior positions at Ubisoft Montreal, Jaleco Entertainment, and Ubisoft Shanghai. He also founded Sinister Games, Inc. and was a partner at Axion Pacific Capital. Read More

Valve has announced that they will not be having a big media blowout for the game Portal 2. Valve has said that they will instead have a surprise (can someone say real life portal gun!!!!).

Peak at Gears of War 3

New screen shots are now available for Gears of War 3. Some interesting things can be seen from these screen shots.
Anya will be fighting besides you, the use of a mech will be in the game, and a new bayonet instead of the chainsaw is available as well as a new turret.
