War will be brewing! Another console war, that is. Or so it could very well be, as market analysts are predicting that's when we can see the next generation of consoles released. But some aren't so sure, wondering if maybe the competition between Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo for being "first and best" won't lead one or another to release a new console first.

"Microsoft's not content. Despite ostensibly having one of the best user interfaces of all the major consoles, Microsoft is reinventing the Xbox 360's look. The underlying Xbox Live foundation will remain the same, but Microsoft wants to make life even better for users by making existing features easier to find and use, decluttering the marketplace, and vastly improving the social experience of Live." -Gamespot

As some of you may have read from Sangue's news, microsoft is considering avatars for xbox live. One of the reasons for this is "SBG Channel". From what I could tell, it will feature game shows and other online competitive games. Bad news, bargain hunters; Nintendo has gone on record saying there are no imminent price cuts for the Nintendo Wii or DS. Satoru Iwata, the company's president, said he did not believe in the "model" of price slashing, as it tends to leave early adopters feeling a little disheartened. Though we do agree, surely early adopters are well out of their honeymoon phase by now?

The Xbox 360's multi-use of a standard DVD player with the option of attaching an external HD-DVD made it look like it . . . Read more
