Multiple reports are claiming that the 360’s new Netflix package, a movie and TV streaming service that has launched as part of NXE in the US, has removed a range of movies on offer from Sony Pictures Entertainment subsidiary Columbia Pictures. It is understood that the withdrawal is not a technical issue, but a licensing one.
News of Columbia Pictures’ sudden departure from the 360’s Netflix service broke yesterday as NXE users in the US quickly discovered that all the films unavailabl . . . Read more
So Den of Geek posted a list of 75 movies that are planned for (or in) production, and their (prospective) release dates.
Some of the names are easily recognizable, but there are some cult favorites on there, as well. Definitely worth taking a look if you're a fan of comics, or movies, or especially both. http://denofgeek.com/movi…eing_made_into_films.html
A viral marketing attempt? Some fans (or possibly only one) with too much time on their hands?
Either way, it's entertaining. Multiple characters from the Batman series and other related forms of media have popped up on Twitter. Sci-Fi blog I09 theorizes that it could be a marketing attempt, and a hint at an early release of "The Dark Night" DVD. Characters such as [url=http://twi . . . Read more

Hollywood's actors are jealous of the writers, and want to get paid under the same circumstances as they do. The actors have their own union and that union is currently looking over a proposal made by the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The AMPTP said that this was their final offer, so if it is refused, an actor's strike is sure to happen soon.
I think Hollywood is turning into World of Warcraft. I mean, look at these unions: Writer's GUILD, ALLIANCE of Motion Picture a . . . Read more

According to slashfilm.com, "Leonardo DiCaprio has signed on to star as Nolan Bushnell in Atari, a biopic about “the founding father of electronic gaming”, who was the inventor of Pong and founder of Atari."
I am a bit hesitant about this one (like I am with Prince of Persia). It's not that I don't think Leo can act or anything...but I just don't see how the creation of Atari can make for an interesting film. I guess all we can do is wait and see if this will make us shudder/cry blood . . . Read more
Lionsgate will begin production of a Kane and Lynch movie this fall, and while details still seem to be very fuzzy at best, the rumor is that Bruce Willis will be playing Kane and Billy Bob Thornton is rumored to possibly come on as Lynch.
IGN seems to be the closest to being on top of things as far as this goes, so keep checking either here, or there. :> http://movies.ign.com/articles/878/878878p1.html
I was reading through the list of news articles I had to filter through, and I stumbled upon this article about a movie adaption of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Curious, I decided to open it and give it a read, and promptly got a nervous twitch. First off, this is Jake Gyllenhaal; and secondly, Disney is responsible, and my insides hurt. Now, I know Disney has made great mov . . . Read more
It's been a few years (2001), since we've seen Rick O'Connell, his wife Evey, and their son Alex (who's quite grown up now - movie's aren't restricted by time, after all); and Rob Cohen and Co. saw fit to make a new movie for those that love mummies and violence.
This movie will take place in a few locations around the world as Alex has become an exploring man like his father, but has been tricked into releasing an ancient Asian evil on the world. Of course, he runs to mommy and daddy to . . . Read more

The Forbidden Kingdom is a very beautiful film and falls easily in with the modern epics of today as far as cinematography goes. However, as much as I enjoyed the movie it was way too rushed. From the very beginning of the movie we are presented with a cast of fascinating characters with so much potential but it almost seems that in the name of deadlines all that potential was flushed down the toilet.
However, out of all the characters I was most disappointed in the white witch. The viewers a . . . Read more

Not only does “Iron Man” epitomize everything a superhero movie should be, but it has what summer blockbusters aspire to: a fun blend of adventure, humor, emotion, romance and explosions. The movie spent more than 15 years in development hell bouncing back and forth between different studios, writers and directors. The bright side is that this is just the right creative team to tell the “Iron Man” story.
The direction, cast and dialogue are all solid contributors to the success of th . . . Read more Post Date: Apr 30, 2008

It's almost been ten years since the last Indiana Jones movie hit theaters and here we here we are on the cusp of the release of another Jones movie. Many have voiced skepticism on whether this new release will meet the standards of the past movies and a concern at the fore front of most minds is the fact that maybe Harrison Ford is just too old now to do these movies. I agree that the man has aged but I still hold faith that the legend will live on just as strong as it has these past 27 years.
