According to a Nintendo representative, specifically one that works between Nintendo and Gamestop (more specifically MY gamestop), Nintendo dropped a very subtle hint as to what's to come, which apperently no one caught. The news: -New Zelda game for the Wii sometime in 2009 -Al . . . Read more

People are finding that games are not all unhealthy and gaming in general is starting to get a better image in many people's minds. Games can be used for pain control (burn victims have stated that while playing games, about 90% of the pain left), for helping soldiers cope with posttraumatic stress disorder by playing shooters set in Iraq, and even being used to help treat migraines. Not satisfied with the Wii Balance Board, Activision handed over development of the new Tony Hawk game for Wii to a new developer and announced it will have it's own peripheral to pack-in with the game. EA also said they are releasing sport peripherals for their new line of sport games for the Wii. I'm afraid the market will be flooded with game-specific peripherals and just cause us to spend more money on the games we want. No word yet on what any of the peripherals will look like.

With S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl often seen as vaporware before its eventual release last year, I would have never imagined we'd see TWO games set in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R universe, but stranger things have happened. If you've not heard much about S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky, the upcoming prequel to the original game, you can be forgiven, as today we've got some tasty tidbits of detailed information.
With the sky a vivid blue, more details on S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky have emerged. If it is too b . . . Read more Post Date: Jun 29, 2008

That's enough (for now) about Diablo 3. It's now time to concentrate on Blizzard's other highly-anticipated upcoming release, the one announced at last year's Worldwide Invitational in Korea.
Executive Vice President Rob Pardo takes the stage and settles in to explain a few things about StarCraft II. Sounds like the guys behind the scenes are itching to re-design the StarCraft idea from the ground up, but still keeping the pace and feeling that's attached to the franchise. Part of the way . . . 4 from Gameplayer... "It's an unfortunate economic fact that good games – hell even crap games – cost money. We're all used to walking into our local retailer with a spring in our step and gaming on our mind, steadfastly weaving our way through the crowds towards our intended purchase driven by the unseen energy that is anticipation. This is followed by the less than fantastic feeling of running – desperately screaming for help – from the store with . . . Read more
"What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off?"
This is the idea behind WALL-E, a brand new game from Pixar and THQ, which transports gamers to a galaxy not-so-far away, where they'll meet a determined little robot called WALL-E. It's been hundreds of years since WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth Class) was built, and he's been trundling along for all that time. Now he's met EVE, a sleek search robot, and has discovered a new purpose in life oth . . . Read more

The Ace Combat guys are working on a flyer for the Wii that's inspired by anime. The reasoning behind this is that Mamoru Oshii, who directed Ghost in the Shell, is coming out with a film called The Sky Crawlers. The film is based on a series of novels about dogfighter pilots in a fiction-based setting in a WWII style.
