baldrad Witcher 2 developer gives good news for gamers.

You know those retailer specific pre-order DLC's you can get if you buy from a specific company, how if you don't you have to buy them to get them? Well for the Witcher 2 the game developers have assured everyone that all DLC will be free.

The only things that will have to be bought are expansion packs. Not your regular just add a side quest expansion packs either. Those will be DLC.

After years of back and forth debate the votes are in and it appears that games are now officially recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts as an art form.

The NEA is a US government organization/program that funds artistic projects that enhance the public good.

Game makers can apply for a $200k grant if they are going to be giving away the game for free and it is deemed as public good. Read More

baldrad FTC reports retailers strictly enforcing

While the Supreme Court of the United States has been busy deliberating on whether California can legally make it a crime to sell "M" rated video games to minors, the FTC has been doing their own studies.

According the the Federal Trade Commission data from multiple studies conducted between November 2010 and January 2011 shows that out of all the forms of entertainment retailers are doing the best job of restricting sales to minors.

South Korea has just passed a new law stating that children under the age of 15 can not play online games between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m.

This new law is set to stop game addiction though it is unclear which games will be covered and how it will be enforced. Read More

When you register for the site, you can send a Pokemon of your choice into the Dream World where you can then obtain and trade items, play mini-games, and grow berries which can be sent back to your DS or decorate your Dream World home.

It appears that Garry Newman has been tweaking the code for Garry's Mod to include something special for pirates.

If you happen to be playing a pirated version, you will get a message saying

Unable to shade polygon normals.

It appears that he is sitting back laughing gauging by his tweet

For the longest time games have taken back seat to television and film when it came to the Grammy Awards. While they have been allowed to be entered in the other visual media section, they never got top spot.

EA Sports' president Peter Moore has hinted that EA Sports' games now may start using persistent player profiles with games removing the need to start from scratch with each new game they buy.
