Microsoft and Sony, who constantly seem to duke it out for the ruling throne in gaming cyberspace, are releasing virtual worlds.

Microsoft announced its New Xbox Experience at this weekend's Tokyo Games Show.

In the Microsoft community, gamers will be able to create avatars and enter environments to meet other players, play some games, download movies, and hold virtual 'parties.' Their world will be unveiled on November 19th.

Spore Origins, a version of Spore designed specifically for Apple's iPhone and iPod, will be released this month by EA Mobile. In addition to Spore Origins, EA Mobile plans to released Yahztee Adventures, EA Mini Golf, Lemonade Tycoon, Mahjong, Monopoly Here & Now World Edition, SimCity, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09, Need For Speed Undercover, and The Sims 3.
