Rayman Third-party publisher Ubisoft on Monday hooked us up with a new teaser video for – well, we'll let you decide. For now, the company isn't commenting one way or the other about what the footage below represents, but we've got a few guesses and we think you will, too.

AMD announced new Phenom X4 CPUs end of March. Digitimes cites Motherboard sources that there are two new 45nm Phenom X4 CPUs (codename: Deneb) coming in 2008.

The new rumored AMD CPUs include the 125W Phenom X4 9750 and the 95W Phenom X4 9850 will appear before January of 2009. There is supposedly also an updated version of the upcoming Phenom X4 9950 (June) at the end of the fourth quarter.
45nm AMD Phenom X4 CPUs are to be expected on shelves this November.

Last week GoNintendo ran a story in which the 'GoNintendo Mole' suggested that Nintendo are planning on releasing all three Metroid Prime titles as part of a single compilation title for the Wii.

The first two entries in the series, Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes respectively, would have reportedly been revamped to make use of the Wii Remote, ala Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

So, it seems that the decline in sales and rentals of DVD's, up to and including the HD formats, Blockbuster has decided now is the time to start dealing with more video games.

Apparently they're offering some PS3 bundles with incentives to buy there, and rent there. I'm not sure being able to rent movies for a few weeks would sway my purchasing decision, but a lot of people enjoy renting.

At a recent Electronic Arts event we got a chance to see Valve's latest shooter – the four-player co-operative FPS with a zombie survival theme, Left4Dead.

Infogrames, the French video games company behind Atari, last night revealed it was behind a rejected share based bid for Lara Croft’s SCi Entertainment worth about £60 million.

The would-be predator indicated that it could go hostile, presenting investors with a choice between a SCi’s planned fundraising and a bid at a “significant premium” to the 55p the shares were trading at last week.

Atari founder and Pong co-creator Nolan Bushnell has blamed the increase in violence for gaming becoming a male dominated area and its change from a casual activity to hardcore.

"I like to talk about [how] 1983 was sort of the break point where games went from casual to hardcore," said Bushnell to MTV.

"They got violent. They went long form. The violence lost the women and the long form lost the casual gamer. I actually sort of stuck to my roots, and the console game market moved away."

SingStar Officials from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) have announced that sales of the SingStar franchise on PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 have totaled over 12 million units in PAL territories – including Europe and Australia.

Bad news, bargain hunters; Nintendo has gone on record saying there are no imminent price cuts for the Nintendo Wii or DS. Satoru Iwata, the company's president, said he did not believe in the "model" of price slashing, as it tends to leave early adopters feeling a little disheartened. Though we do agree, surely early adopters are well out of their honeymoon phase by now?
